Modern solar panels are warrantied for 25 years, but many last 30-35 years. They degrade about 0.5% per year, meaning after 25 years they still produce roughly 87% of their original output. The inverter typically needs replacing once (around year 12-15), costing about EUR 1,000-2,000.

Yes. The Netherlands gets about 1,000 kWh per kWp per year. Germany and Belgium are similar. Panels work with diffused light too, not just direct sunlight. Most Northern European systems pay themselves back in 6-9 years and then generate free electricity for 15+ more years.
